WHITTIER, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) teams for Women's Lacrosse were announced Monday and Whittier saw junior Lexie Meanor (Sewickley, PA) earn 2nd Team All-SCIAC recognition.
Meanor was the bright spot for the Purple & Gold all season long and has now earned accolades for the second year in a row.
She started all 16 games this season and totaled a team high 38 goals with four assists. She was 10-for-17 on free-position attempts and registered 34 groundballs, a team high 61 draw controls, and a team high 21 caused turnovers. She also finished the season with a 78.5 shot-on-goal percentage.
Joining Meanor on the All-SCIAC team was Melanie Rizzotti (Mukilteo, WA) who landed on the All-SCIAC Sportsmanship Team. She was one of two seniors on the squad starting in all 16 games as a midfielder. She totaled three goals and two assists but made her presence felt on the defensive end finishing with 18 caused turnovers and 29 groundballs.
