WHITTIER, Calif. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2019. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will celebrate the 2019 All-Americans during Divisional All-American Specials, which will be aired on Lax Sports Network in mid-June.
Senior Lexie Meanor (Sewickley, PA) was the lone Poet to get recognized as she earns accolades for the first time in her career. She was named to the 2nd Team. The last player from Whittier College to earn All-West Region recognition was Lauren Tudor back in 2016 when she was named to the 1st Team. Meanor was a freshman that year.
This season Meanor led the Purple & Gold being named 1st Team All-SCIAC as an attacker. She totaled 71 points with 57 goals and 14 assists. She also totaled 41 groundballs, 81 draw controls, and 21 caused turnovers.
