Title: Assistant Coach

Angela is entering her 2nd season at Whittier College as the Assistant Swim and Dive Coach and 8th year as a swim coach.

Coach Calderon swam competitively for 13 years. 9 years with Brea Aquatics, 2 years at Mt.Sac, and 2 years at Azusa Pacific University. She attended Rowland High School, were she held the 100 Breaststroke record for 10 years. While attending Rowland High School, Coach Calderon earned All- American Honors, took 3rd at CIF and Masters along with making the Hall of Fame. Her two years at Mt. Sac, she broke multiple individual records and relay team records along with the State record in to 50 Breaststroke. While competing for Azusa Pacific, she tied the team record in the 100 Breaststroke, took 3rd at Nationals, and earned All-American Honors. Coach Calderon is the first in her family to attend college.

After completing her undergrad at Azusa Pacific University and earning her Bachelors in Applied Exercise Science, Coach Calderon went on to earn a Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration while working as a Grad Assistant at Concordia University Irvine.

Angela resides in Diamond Bar with her Husband Jacob Calderon and their son Troy Calderon.
