REDLANDS, Calif. – The Whittier College Women's Tennis team was shutout by the No. 27 ranked Bulldogs of the University of Redlands Saturday falling 9-0.

The Purple & Gold picked up just one game across all three doubles match-ups, which came at No. 2 from Kallysta Lopez (Whittier, Calif.) and Avery Turner (Austin, TX).  In singles, Whittier attempted a comeback but couldn't gain any footing.  Amanda Rodriguez (Glendora, Calif.) had the best battle at No. 2 falling 7-5, 6-2 against Karen Kobayashi.  Lopez, despite her consistent play all season wasn't able to top Halle Martinucci at No. 4 falling 6-2, 6-1.
